Lunch Policy

Food Deliveries for Lunch:

Parents and guardians may bring food for lunch for their student to pick up at the front office. Food may not be delivered and  distributed for lunch to share with other students due to food allergies and sanitization concerns. Food may not be delivered by food delivery services such as Uber Eats, Favor, GrubHub, Postmates, or individual restaurants.

Celebrations with Food:

Although a parent and guardian may provide food to share for a school-designated function or celebrations, please be aware that children in the school may have severe allergies to certain food products. Therefore, it is imperative to discuss any classroom allergies with the office/teacher before bringing food. Occasionally, the school or a class may host functions or celebrations tied to the curriculum that involve food. The school or teacher will notify students and parents and guardians of any known food allergies when soliciting potential volunteers to provide food during the school day. Individually wrapped and packaged food is best.  [Student RRISD Handbook].
