The Walsh Theater Department is presenting William Shakespeare's play Macbeth. The students have been preparing for weeks and are excited for everyone to see it. Due to the significant challenges in putting on such a complex play, the performance dates have been changed to Tuesday, November 11, and Wednesday, November 12. Dynamic duos, trios, and teams! Red Ribbon Week is in full swing at Walsh!

Come support the Lady Wildcats tonight as they take on Chisholm Trail in the last game of the season! Both teams will play at Round Rock High School- 7th grade will play in the auxiliary gym, 8th grade will play in the main gym.The B team games start at 5:30pm, the A team games will follow.

Sidenote: The 8th grade teams are both battling for a district championship title!

There will be no school for students on Monday, October 13th.

Happy National Chewing Gum Day! Today at Walsh, teachers had a contest to see who could blow the biggest bubble! Check out some of the pictures from today!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

A new state law, Senate Bill 12, requires school districts to notify families about the health services we provide and to collect your permission before your child can receive these services at school.

Here’s what you need to know:
Starting September 1, 2025, we must have your opt-in consent on file before school staff, including nurses, teachers, counselors, social workers, and in some cases, coaches, can provide health-related services for your child.

Without consent, staff will not be able to perform even basic care, such as taking a temperature for a sick child or cleaning a scraped knee.
In an emergency, staff will always provide care, even without consent.

You have received an email from PowerSchool with instructions to update your child’s registration forms. If you have not received an email from PowerSchool, please check your spam or junk folders or contact your school's office.
The form includes two separate questions: one for health services and one for mental health services. You may choose to opt in for either, both, or neither, depending on your preferences.

Please take a few minutes to complete the form once you receive the notification. This ensures your child can continue receiving the health services you approve during the school day.

Schedules continue to change as we balance classes
Our goal is for every student to have a schedule, and we are still enrolling new students.
We ask for patience and grace as we work to make modifications based on staffing, class sizes, and course availability.

As we continue finalizing details for the upcoming school year, please be aware that class schedules are still subject to change. While we aim to minimize adjustments, some modifications may be necessary as we finalize staffing, class sizes, and course availability.

Keep in mind that:
Schedules will not be finalized until the first day.
The schedule change request window is closed. We are not accepting any new requests.
We are unable to accept any requests. (i.e. teachers, class periods etc.)
The window to request a schedule change will open on August 19th. More information on the request process will be shared after school starts.
